YouTube has dismantled James Charles’ account indefinitely.
YouTube has the account belonging to James Charles after he apologized for messaging two underage fans.
The 21-year-old uploaded a video this month with the title ‘Celebrating Himself’, where he opened up about the accusations, which he had made ‘two under 16-year-olds on social media’.
He said he did not realize the fans were underage, as he had been told they were 18 years old.
In a statement on insider, the video hosting platform put its ‘creator liability policy in place indefinitely without explaining when it reverts’.
Charles‘ video also caused it to lose a business partner in makeup brand Morphe – the Vlogger’s main beauty sponsor.
The company issued a statement over the weekend, saying the two people had come to an agreement in part.
It said it was understood that his actions were “wrong,” Charles said In the video, as two people under the age of 18 had come forward to say they had received “inappropriate messages” by him on social media.
Charles said he added them to Snapchat and asked how old they were. And they both said they were 18 years old, he said he believed them.
He then participated in the conversation Flirty, and later found out they were 16.
