Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire, with multiple bullets striking both the vehicle and the hospital’s exterior. A man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Charges against the suspect
Levy-Porter is facing a slew of serious charges, including attempted murder with a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000, and discharging a restricted firearm.

Connection to a home invasion
In addition to the shooting incident, Levy-Porter is also a suspect in a home invasion that took place in Vaughan earlier in January. On January 6, York Regional Police responded to a report of a home invasion in the area of Sir Sanford Fleming Way and Grand Turk Avenue.
During this incident, one of the residents was shot but fortunately suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The victim has since been released from the hospital. Levy-Porter has been charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm in connection with this home invasion.
