A 28-year-old Italian man, apparently with psychiatric problems, was arrested Friday by militarized police accused of stabbing his parents in a town near Milan (northern Italy).

The young man, who was undergoing treatment in a psychosocial center, wounded his parents in the neck, for reasons still unknown, in the locality of Opera, which belongs to the Milanese metroplitan area, according to the carabinieri.
After committing the assault, the young man fled by car and was apprehended by security officers after a chase that ended in an accident involving another car, according to these sources.
The emergency services received an alarm call from neighbors and went to the home, where they found the parents, an 83-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, stabbed in the neck, extremely seriously injured.
