A Florida woman, angry with her husband after a loud argument before bedtime, got out of bed a few hours later, the woman grabbed a knife from the kitchen, killed her husband’s pet and then woke him up to tell him what she had done, police said Thursday.
Woman stabs husband’s pet to death to get revenge
The events occurred Wednesday night at the home of the couple, in the city of Cocoa, in Brevard County (east coast of Florida), when Sherry Ann White, 51, after a bitter domestic quarrel, decided to take revenge on her husband and stabbed to death “Jake”, his dog.
At a press conference, Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey said visibly upset that killing an innocent, defenseless animal because you are angry at your spouse is a “disgusting” crime for which “you deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison.”
“You should be completely ashamed of yourself,” Ivey said of the woman, who stabbed the animal to death with a kitchen knife nine times.
White was arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty and a judge imposed a $2,000 bond.
To commit such a crime and “then wake up the husband to tell him he had killed his dog” is beyond words.
“As I’ve always said: if you can do something like that to an animal, you could do it to a human being,” the sheriff highlighted in the video he uploaded to social media.
