Yasmin Perez, is the woman who was pulled from her car hit and shot after a minor traffic accident in Chicago, died.
Perez and her husband Gyovanny Arzuaga were celebrating after the Puerto Rican Day parade Saturday night in Humboldt Park when they were involved in a car accident of sorts.
Arzuaga was shot “execution style” and died later that night. A video shared on social media shows a group of men surrounding the car, pulling the woman out and beating her.
Shortly after learning of Perez’s death, Perez’s friend Jae Pacheco reflected on their love story. “I thought it was so sweet,” Pacheco told the Suns.
The couple who had two children unfortunately left them, a GoFundme has been set up to help the family.

Pacheco said he wants his friend to be remembered as more than just a victim and described Perez as a fun-loving friend who loved video games and dancing to Play.
“He was awesome. It may seem hard for a lot of people, but Yasmin was a great mother,” he said, holding back tears at times.
