Tom Brady’s former Boston residence sells for $8.4 million

A historic residence in Boston, once owned by legendary quarterback Tom Brady, has recently sold for $8.4 million. This sale marks a significant increase from the $4.12 million Brady originally paid for the property in 2004.

The condo, located in the iconic Burrage Mansion, was initially listed for $8.69 million last year, showcasing the rising real estate market in the area.

A glimpse into the Burrage Mansion

The Burrage Mansion, a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture, is known for its intricate details, including gargoyles, copper accents, and hand-painted glass.

The building has been divided into four units, with Brady’s former residence being a spacious three-bedroom, 3½-bath condo. According to Ethan Goodrich, the broker who represented the anonymous buyer, the property is truly one of a kind in Boston.

Brady’s connection to the residence

Brady’s time in this residence coincided with one of the most successful periods of his career, during which he led the New England Patriots to multiple victories. The condo features a “trophy room”, although the trophies themselves are no longer present.

This connection to Brady adds a layer of historical significance to the property, making it even more appealing to potential buyers.

Modern amenities and renovations

The 3,422-square-foot condo underwent renovations last year, enhancing its appeal. The layout includes a marble foyer that opens into a spacious living and dining area, complemented by an open chef’s kitchen featuring marble counters and a breakfast bar.

The main bedroom suite boasts a walk-in closet and a luxurious marble bath. Additional design elements include three fireplaces, hardwood floors, and hidden ceiling speakers, providing a blend of modern luxury and historic charm.

Brady’s legacy and future endeavors

Since his time with the Patriots, Brady has continued to make headlines, signing a $375 million television deal with Fox and becoming a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. His entrepreneurial ventures include a partnership with the Good Kitchen to create a line of TB12 Performance Meals and a successful line of vegan snacks that sold out quickly. Brady’s influence extends beyond the football field, as he continues to shape his legacy through various business endeavors.
