The Biden family announced on Saturday that Champ, their “beloved German Shepherd“, who had been with the family since 2008. Passed away.
Champ died and said goodbye at the Biden family home in Wilmington, Delaware, a White House official said.
“He was our constant and beloved companion for the past 13 years and was adored by the entire Bieden family.” In addition, “he loved nothing more than when the day was over to curl up at our feet in front of the fire or sunbathe on the White House lawn.”

In recent months, Champ’s health, due to his advanced age, had deteriorated.
The German Shepherd was one month old when Biden had picked him off the wish list of a breeder in Spring City, Pennsylvania.
During the 2008 vacations, Biden’s grandchildren named the new puppy Champ, an homage to the nickname Joe Biden’s father gave his son, according to Biden’s Press Sectarin.
