A subject in Texas killed four members of his family, including a child, and then killed himself upon the arrival of police, authorities said Saturday.

Kevin Milazzo, 41, killed his mother, stepfather, his son and his ex-partner’s son, just four years old
Corsicana Police Chief Robert Johnson told the Corsicana Daily Sun that a report of shots fired was received overnight in Corsicana, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Dallas, and the second shooting was discovered by officers in Frost, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) west of Corsicana.
The suspect was identified as Kevin Milazzo, 41.
Milazzo’s 68-year-old mother and 68-year-old stepfather, Connie and William Mimms, respectively, were killed.
The other victims were the assailant’s son, Joshua Milazzo, 21, and Hunter Freeman, 4, the son of the killer’s ex-girlfriend.
Two other people were also injured in the attack in Corsicana and a third in Frost, Johnson said. Authorities have not released the names of those injured.
According to Johnson, officers found that the suspect’s vehicle was using GPS and authorities requested the unit’s monitoring service to turn off the engine.
Officers approached the vehicle and found the man inside with a gunshot wound to the head, apparently self-inflicted, and he died at the hospital, according to Johnson.
“I’ve lived here for 16 years and it’s terrifying,” said Ethan Lusk, who lives near the house where the man and woman were found dead. “It’s just traumatizing to hear this,” he commented to WFAA. “You don’t expect it from a small town like this,” said another neighbor.
