A teenage influencer who is among the most successful on TikTok in Spain has recently declared to his 26 million followers that, when it comes to abortion, he is unabashedly anti-abortion.
Teen influencer tells his millions of followers why he is unabashedly pro-life
In May, 19-year-old Naim Darrechi posted a video responding to a question he received about his thoughts on abortion.
Darrechi, who is also a musician, is not a social commentator. His content is pretty much what you might expect from a teenage Tiktok star after the Catholic news website Aletia.
It’s probably about sex before marriage and the spot warns that he uses vulgar language.
However, when it comes to abortion, he believes it is undeservedly wrong.
But in addressing this controversial topic, Darrechi was direct and eloquent about the moral issues surrounding the termination of unborn life in the womb in his video and in some subsequent videos he posted to respond to comments he had received.
“An abortion ends a life,” the young man explained. If a woman is pregnant, if she doesn’t take anything, if she doesn’t abort, the natural cycle will produce a life.”
He explained that some abortion supporters argue that “the fetus does not suffer,” but that “is not an issue, whether it suffers or not, a life is being taken.”
“I can go to your house, turn on the gas and take your life without you suffering.
I’m going to be convicted of murder for 30 years, and if someone aborts it’s the same thing, not only is it free, but we pay for it with our taxes,” he also explained.
One of his videos also revolved around how he would feel if his girlfriend got pregnant.
“I would be a father without hesitation. You give me a child and I fall in love with it,” he stated in the video titled “I want to be a dad.”
“Giving someone life,” he said, “and if you have the responsibility to raise them and teach them and guide them is the most beautiful and valuable thing in the world.”
He noted that when someone is faced with an unwanted pregnancy, “you’ve messed up,” but “don’t kill the baby, okay?”
The TikTok star went so far as to defend the lives of unborn children conceived in rape.
Darrechi, originally from Mallorca, Spain, can charge up to $25,000 for a single sponsored post.
Between his original video on abortion and the four subsequent videos, he received 7 million views. He also has a large following on other social networks.
His reach is impressive for any social media influencer, and it is admirable that he has used this massive platform to defend a point of view that, as in the United States, is becoming less and less common.
