Tarzan star Joe Lara died after a small plane carrying him, his wife and several others plunged into a lake this weekend.
The private plane, which appears to be a Cessna 501, took off Saturday from Smyrna Airport, and was supposedly headed for Palm Beach.
But unfortunately it was unable to reach its destination, the private plane, went down in Percy Priest Lake shortly after takeoff.
An investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash.
Joe was one of several fatalities on the plane. The others on the plane with him were his wife, Christian diet guru Gwen Lara, Jennifer J. Martin, David L. Martin, David L.
Martin, Jessica Walters, Jessica Walters, Jonathan Walters and Brandon Hannah, all locals and reportedly part of the same church.
Joe who famously worked in television when he starred as the King of the Jungle in 1996 and 2000 as Tarzan for a total of 22 episodes.
This included a TV movie that came out years ago called “Tarzan in Manhattan” which propelled him into the role.
Over the years he has participated in other action/fantasy projects such as “Steel Froneir“, “Sunset Heat“, “Gunsmoke: Steel Warrior“, “The Magnificent Seven“, “Baywatch“, “Baywatch“.
Lara married Gwen Shamblin in 2018, who is famous for founding Remnant Fellowship Church and Weigh Down Workshop.
