11 people were injured in a series of senseless knife attacks in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The suspect, who was riding a bicycle and carrying a large knife, was taken into custody by police.

A police spokesman says officers are investigating seven possible incidents downtown.
The condition of the victims ranges from critical to stable.
A lone suspect, on a BMX-type bicycle and armed with a large knife, is in custody after police apprehended him without incident.
The attacks began around 11 a.m. Sunday and the first stabbing occurred near the Sister Bar at Central Avenue and 4th Street, KRQE reports.
Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said the stabbings “appeared to be random.”
“Officers identified him at Lomas and Wyoming in that area. When they approached and tried to impose force, the individual got off his bicycle, followed the officers’ commands and was taken into custody.”
More stabbings occurred along Central Avenue at Harvard Drive, Pennsylvania Street and Domingo.
Officers arrested the suspect near a McDonalds restaurant at Central Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard.
The investigation is ongoing and the motive for the attack is unknown at this time
