Superman impersonator was run over after attempting a poorly executed stunt but luckily was able to walk away from the altercation unharmed
Superman impersonator gets hit by a bus after trying a stunt gone wrong
Superman is known as the Man of Steel, endowed with X-ray eyes and unfathomable strength.
However, this strength does not apply to us simple mortals, who try to imitate the comic book symbol, as a Brazilian comedian was reminded.
Luiz Ribeiro de Andrade, was filming himself as he practiced stopping a moving bus.
Something that is normally part of the comic performer’s daily work.
Unfortunately for the young Andrade, the stunt didn’t go as planned, and the vehicle sped off at full speed.
However, the 35-year-old was able to put into practice some of his superpowers as a mortal and his reflexes allowed him to escape unharmed from the possible hit-and-run.
The fictional comic book performer instantly quipped, “Now that I’ve seen I’m made of steel,” while seriously adding, “I’m going to sue this vehicle about its brakes, they don’t work.”
The day after, Andrade clarified to the F5 News network that neither the driver nor the brakes were to blame for the accident, he simply miscalculated the retreat of the approaching bus too badly.
“I take responsibility for everything,” Ribeiro announced, according to an English translation.
“I went to the bus company so they wouldn’t penalize the driver. There was no problem with the brakes.”
Explaining to the media that he is used to performing this trick, although this time it was not the same result, as usual.
“I didn’t feel anything with the hit. I was hit by my own fault, and there was a miracle from God, God was present at that moment and was able to protect me”. Luis Ribeiro de Andrade went on to explain to the media.
