A 29-year-old man has been arrested in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, United States, accused of stabbing six members of his family as they slept. The events occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on Friday morning at the home where they lived.
The victims are between 26 and 57 years old, according to authorities.

The alleged assailant, who matched the suspect’s description and had “blood on his face and cuts on his hands,” was arrested shortly after authorities responded to a call.
Officers transported him to the hospital for treatment and he will be taken to police custody in the next few hours.
A 49-year-old woman is in critical condition after suffering stab wounds to her head and neck during the alleged attack, and two other women, aged 30 and 32, are also listed in critical condition after suffering multiple stab wounds.

In addition, a 26-year-old man, a 55-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man are in stable condition following the incident. According to sources, there were young children in the home at the time of the stabbing, but they were not injured.
Police claim the perpetrator of the attack is a family member who went from bedroom to bedroom stabbing the six victims with two different knives, which were described as kitchen knives. Officers are still investigating.
