FOX News celebrates the holiday season
This Friday, FOX News Media will host its fifth annual “All-American Christmas Tree Lighting” at 5 p.m. ET, a festive event that promises to bring joy and holiday cheer to viewers. The special edition of “The Five” will feature co-hosts Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford Jr., and Jesse Watters as they gather outside the network’s New York City headquarters to light a magnificent 50-foot Christmas tree. This year’s tree is adorned with an impressive 18,000 ornaments and 340,000 lights, creating a dazzling display that embodies the spirit of the season.
A star-studded celebration
The tree, crafted by the renowned holiday lighting company American Christmas, boasts a stunning six-foot dove topper illuminated by 4,800 lights. Adding to the festive atmosphere, American singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw will perform live, sharing his musical talents with the audience. The co-hosts of “The Five” will also reminisce about their favorite holiday memories and traditions, creating a warm and inviting environment for all attendees.
Giving back during the holiday season
This year, FOX News is partnering with the First Responders Children’s Foundation (1STRCF), which provides essential support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. The event will highlight the stories of families who have benefited from the foundation, emphasizing the importance of community and support during the holiday season. FOX News chief religion correspondent Lauren Green will introduce Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Reverend Jacques DeGraff, who will discuss the significance of the holidays, while Rabbi Steven Burg and Franklin Graham will share messages of hope.
Community spirit shines bright
In addition to the heartwarming performances and discussions, viewers will witness a holiday performance from the High Point University Chapel Choir, showcasing the spirit of giving and community support. Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, High Point University has raised over $30,000 and provided essential supplies to affected towns in Western North Carolina, demonstrating the power of unity and compassion during challenging times.
Record-breaking viewership
As one of the highest-rated programs in cable, “The Five” has recently achieved remarkable viewership numbers, averaging 3.6 million total viewers in October alone. During election week, the show reached an impressive 5.3 million viewers, solidifying its position as the most-watched program in all of television. This Christmas tree lighting event is set to attract even more viewers, bringing families together to celebrate the joy of the season.
