The Russian Antonov 26 aircraft of Kamchatsky Air Enterprise company crashes with 28 people on board in the Russian Far East, about 7,000 kilometers northeast of Moscow.
According to preliminary data, the accident occurred due to poor visibility during landing and so far it is not known if there are any survivors.

Russian Federation authorities have issued a statement announcing the loss of electronic contact with a plane.
At some point the radar sweep failed and the aircraft’s IFF, the electronic civilian flight detection system widely used in sectors that also intersect military routes, stopped sending its pings.
The twin-engine aircraft lost contact only a few kilometers from Palana and fell into the Sea of Okhotsk, as the airport is very close to the coast. On board were 22 passengers, two of whom were children, together with six crew members.
They were on their way from the North Pacific city of Petropavlovsk to the town of Palana. The news was released by the Russian agencies Ria Novosti and Tass.
No survivors after the plane crash
According to the official RIA Novosti news agency, none of the passengers survived.
On board the plane, in addition to the six crew members, there were 22 passengers, two of them children.
The governor of the Kamchatka region, Vladimir Solodov, has asked not to draw hasty conclusions about the causes of the tragedy, stating that the crew members of the plane were “very experienced”.
