McDougall’s actions were praised by experts, including University of British Columbia professor emeritus Michael Blake, who emphasized the importance of respecting the cultural origins of such artifacts.
As the National Museum of Costa Rica prepares to showcase the jade amulet in a new exhibit, McDougall reflects on the journey.
