Piers Morgan said he was right not to believe the claims Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made in their recent Oprah Winfrey interview.
Piers Morgan claims he was right to call Meghan Markle a liar
Sitting for an eye-opening interview with Tucker Carlson on FOX Nation, the 56-year-old said:
“What I was witnessing was the most extraordinarily false smear,
a successful work, on the royal family, on the queen, on the monarchy, and, frankly, about Great Britain, my country.
“I went on the air Monday morning with the bells on full blast and I said quite clearly that I didn’t believe what Meghan Markle was saying.”
“Here we are a month later and frankly I’ve had a lot of time to think about this, I still don’t believe anything they were saying.” “Seventeen different claims from the two have now been proven completely false, exaggerated or unlikely.”
“I don’t understand why you should have to believe people who are not telling the truth.” He accused the couple of saying ‘so much ridiculous nonsense’
In his interview and dismissed claims that he was racist for not believing them.
He said the interview was ‘tacky, tasteless, disingenuous, and I’m afraid, I believe in some cases, Downright lying on a global scale’. Morgan then went on to say that he has had ‘universal support’ from the British public, adding:
“Old, young, black, white, it didn’t matter.
They have approached me in droves all day every day.”
