Memories always come back to mind when approaching the dates of some important anniversary that makes you remember the where and how of a special moment.

That nostalgia is what has invaded Miley Cyrus this Wednesday, the fourth anniversary of the release of her single, Malibu.

A song that, apart from being a favorite among her fans, also holds a very emotional memory for the singer.

To compose it, she was inspired by her ex, Liam Hemsworth, and the house they both shared in Malibu.

Unfortunately, nothing remains of the home, as it was reduced to ashes during the California fires in 2018. In fact, both the performer and the actor went out of their way to give support to all the people who had experienced the same situation as them.

What also remains nothing is the relationship with Chris Hemsworth’s younger brother, who after almost nine years of relationship decided to go their separate ways in 2019.

But the past always comes back in some form or another. And Miley has not hesitated to recall such an important memory through her official Instagram account: “Today marks 4 years of Malibu.

A song about a place and a person that at the time I loved so much.”

“That love was reciprocated beyond what I could describe here, with freedom and escapism. I lost that home, like many others, in 2018.” The actress gets candid.
