Man in Moscow swam across the street after a “superstorm”
Moscow was wrecked by a “superstorm” of violent rains, which left a subway station and severely wrecked several streets. In a single day, the capital experienced torrential rains, which corresponded to 70% of its monthly norm.
Since then, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations intervened and announced an emergency warning for bad weather conditions with heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail until the end of the day.
For most, the weather warning encouraged people to stay home, but for one man, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.” In a video shared on Twitter, he decided to spend the afternoon swimming peacefully amid the chaos.
In the video, one Twitter user said, “This is the strangest video from Moscow, Russia today.”

In response to the bizarre video, one user said, disapprovingly, “In my experience, when a city floods, the flood water is immediately contaminated with sewage.”
Another added, “I hope the guy has access to good antibiotics.”
A source in the emergency services told the Russian news agency TASS, “At the moment it is known that the downpour has flooded several streets in eastern Moscow. In addition, the Yasenevo metro station is flooded. There is no train service between Tyoply Stan and NovoyaseVo stations.”
