A man and his garden were splattered with human waste from a plane flying over the area, “the man’s entire garden, and the umbrellas in the garden, and he” were “covered”.
Man in garden “splattered” by human waste dumped from airplane
The man, whose name is unknown, was in his garden in July, in a “fairly central” area of Windsor, when he was “splattered” by the excrement, according to Clewer East councillor Karen Davis, who spoke about the incident at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s aviation forum.
She explained that “the whole of the man’s garden, and the garden umbrellas, and him” were “covered” after a passing aircraft opened its sewage tanks, reports the BBC.
The unfortunate man contacted Councillor Davis to tell her about the terrible incident, but added that he would not be making an insurance claim against the airline.
Councillor Davis said, “Obviously, he wasn’t going to do it for a couple of garden umbrellas, in terms of increasing his premium, so he’s had to take it on.” I’m not sure that’s the best choice of words, but yes, I understand what she means.
He added: “I know incidents happen every year with frozen sewage from aircraft, but this wasn’t frozen and his whole garden got splashed in a very nasty way.”
“I was in the garden at the time, so it was a horrible experience.
Hopefully it won’t happen again to any of our residents.”
Eton and Castle councillor John Bowen said it must be “a one in a billion chance”, before suggesting that, due to the warm summer weather, human waste could have “come out as something more fluid”.
Lovely, thanks for that, John.
The resident was able to identify the plane through a route-tracking app and contacted the airline.
