The victim’s mother caught him in her daughter’s bedroom after he had been living under the bed for three weeks, according to the Ohio prosecutor’s indictment.
Man hid under teen’s bed for weeks to photograph and abuse her
A 20-year-old Barberton, Ohio, man has been charged with raping a teenage girl and taking nude photos of her while allegedly living under her bed for three weeks without being discovered.
Hamilton County prosecutors have filed three counts of rape and one count of child pornography against Jaret Wright, who met the victim through the social networking site Instagram and stayed at her home without her mother’s knowledge.
After three weeks, the mother realized that Wright was living under her daughter’s bed. The minor did know the man was staying there, prosecutors said.
Wright held the victim against the bed and forced her to have sex. According to court filings, the offender also forced the victim to ingest some type of drug or intoxicant prior to the rapes.
Authorities did not clarify whether Wright stayed in the room at the invitation of the minor.
They also did not explain whether the two of them were in a relationship. And it is not known if the man was in and out of the house while he was staying under the victim’s bed.
The victim was between 13 and 18 years old, although her exact age was not disclosed. Wright is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on $50,000 bail pending trial.
