Her father, Marcel James Taylor, 26, was performing CPR on her.
She was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and then transferred to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She was pronounced dead Sept. 29, according to the sheriff’s department.
Deputies launched a “thorough investigation” that ended with Taylor’s arrest.
The sheriff’s department announced Sunday that he was arrested at the Santa Clarita station and arraigned on charges of murder and child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury or death.
