Man arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting 6-year-old boy
Brooklyn Park police say they have made an arrest after a 6-year-old boy was sexually assaulted inside a mobile restroom while at a city park Wednesday night.
Family members reported to police that the boy had disappeared during a party at Willowstone Park and was seen leaving the restroom around 9 p.m., followed by a man in his 20s.
A family member confronted the man, who had told him that the boy was trapped in the bathroom and that he was just helping him.
Subsequently, the boy said that the man sexually assaulted him.
Police said the detained man is often visiting the park. It is also believed that the man who has been arrested will be formally charged on Tuesday.
“The Police Department extends a sincere thank you to all members of the community who assisted in this investigation,” the department reported.
Thanks to this family member who bravely confronted the man who had abused the child and with the testimony of the little boy the individual was able to be charged
This man used to hang around the park frequently and thanks to the fact that he visited it very often, he was easily captured.
It is not excluded that if this man tried to do this with the young boy, he may not have done it with other children.
