A kitten with a facial condition is looking for a permanent home to take her in, after receiving “zero applications.” “She is very deserving of some wonderful permanent home,” her charity wrote.
Kitten with facial anomaly receives zero applications for adoption
Kaya is a cat with a congenital facial anomaly that makes her look a little different, but that doesn’t stop her from being “super affectionate and playful.”
Five-and-a-half-month-old Kaya is being cared for by The Ontario Rescue charity, located in Montclair, California.
In a post on its Facebook page, the charity described Kaya as “incredibly sweet,” and revealed that she was due to undergo surgery to relieve her eye discomfort.
They wrote: “Not only is she the cutest kitty ever, but she is incredibly sweet. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her.
“She has been through a lot in her short life, but that hasn’t stopped her from being super affectionate and playful.”
“She is very deserving of some wonderful permanent home.
Kaya has received zero applications, we hope her story continues to be shared so she can find her permanent home.”
Potential adopters were also informed that Kaya gets along well with other cats and dogs, and is already “spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested negative for leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus.”
The Ontario Rescue urged people to look past her imperfections and give Kaya a chance to enjoy a loving home.
Kaya appeared to be a hit online, as the post has received more than 17,000 interactions and has more than 8,500 comments.
One person commented, “She’s beautiful just the way she is!”. Another said, “I can’t imagine anyone not loving her.
She’s such a beautiful kitty. And I would love her dearly.” And finally someone else wrote: “Oh my gosh, she’s adorable, I love her.”
