The influencer uses her position to plead for clemency for Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos, a truck driver whose brakes failed while driving on a Colorado interstate highway.

The speed at which he was going (135 kilometers per hour), caused the impact between his truck and more than two dozen cars to have terrible results: four people died and several were injured, according to RT.

On December 13, Aguilera-Mederos, who is of Cuban origin, was sentenced to 110 years in prison for being found guilty of the crime of “vehicular homicide”.

In this regard, Kim Kardashian has expressed: “He was not intoxicated in any way, the crash happened because his brakes failed. This is so unfair.”

“Another shocking part of this case is that the judge didn’t want to give him such a long sentence, but he had to meet the Colorado state mandatory minimum, so he couldn’t give him a lesser sentence,” the influencer went on to explain in a series of Instagram stories.

“Colorado’s law needs to be changed because it’s unfair. I know the governor of that state is a good man and he will do what’s best,” Ye West’s ex-wife added.

Kardashian also added that this sentence will affect the life of Aguilera-Mederos, who is only 26 years old, as well as that of his wife and their young son.

However, according to RT, Kim Kardashian is not the only person who has expressed her opinion against this sentence.
