Justin Bieber has shaved his head and seeing how little the dreadlocks have lasted, it seems that the criticism of cultural appropriation towards his dreadlocks has had a lot of influence.
Justin Bieber poses with a new haircut and says goodbye to the criticism of “cultural appropriation”
Justin Bieber’s (27) dreadlocks are now history, at least for the moment, because the singer has surprised us all with a change of look that has left his head completely clear with a very tight cut to which, frankly, he has little accustomed us.
On Sunday both he and his wife, Hailey Bieber (24), went to lunch and spent a Sunday afternoon together when, as they left the restaurant, they were met by a few paparazzi ready to immortalize his radical change of look.
That’s why, just a few hours later, he himself decided to give the ‘exclusive’ by uploading a photo to his Instagram profile.
Upon seeing this image many of his followers wondered why he had decided to say goodbye to his dreadlocks.
Is it simply a change before the summer to be cooler?
Although it has been a recurring theme, that of cultural appropriation, since he decided to get that hairstyle, he had never answered any of these accusations nor had he talked about it on his social networks.
It is true that he is not the first celebrity to be accused of cultural appropriation, since others like Rihanna, Rosalía or more recently Kendall Jenner with her new tequila company, have already dealt with this kind of criticism.
But seeing how little his dreadlocks have lasted it is very possible that this has influenced Justin’s decision.
