Justin Bieber is getting into the cannabis market. The 27-year-old singer has partnered with Los Angeles, California-based Palms to create a line of pre-rolled joints called Peaches.
Justin Bieber announces a cannabis line named after his hit song ‘Peaches’
Peaches is a nod to his single of the same name, released earlier this year, from his sixth studio album, Justice .
In the chorus of the song, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and is Justice’s fifth single, Bieber sings, “I got my peaches in Georgia (Oh yeah, shit), I get my weed from California ( That’s that shit).”
Palms, which specializes in pre-rolled joints, sells several strains ranging from “Chill” (indica strain) to “Active” (sativa strain) in packs of seven joints priced at $32 for delivery, according to its website.
For Bieber’s new collaboration, a portion of the proceeds from Peaches’ joints will go in part to support Veterans Walk and Talk, a veterans group that advocates for medical cannabis and psychedelic use; Last Prisoners Project, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to free those incarcerated for marijuana possession; and Eaze Momentum Accelerator, which empowers underrepresented groups in the cannabis industry.
Bieber’s latest collaboration aligns with much of the merchandise currently on his site, which includes various products centered around his single “Peaches” , from remixes to a fisherman’s hat that reads “Weed from California.”
“I’m a fan of Palms and what they are doing to make cannabis accessible and help destigmatize it, especially for the many people who find it helpful for their mental health,” Bieber wrote in a statement emailed Monday to Bloomberg .
The “Holy” singer is no stranger to collaborations outside of music: the artist is regularly spotted sporting items from his Drew House casual and lounge line, from oversized hoodies to hats.
