The POTUS, President Biden held his first press conference in which he laid out his plans for the coming months and years.
Joe Biden plans to run for second term as US President
The 78-year-old is the oldest person to take office as president in American history, which had previously sparked speculation that he would only serve one term, but now he has made it clear that he has his eyes on a second mandate.
This afternoon, I’m holding my first formal press conference as president. Tune in. https://t.co/dvl1RAtOjr

I set a goal to have the majority of K-8 schools reopened within my first 100 days. And I’m happy to report, we’re on track to meet and exceed that goal. pic.twitter.com/v8mDsGAkoA

A member of the press asked Biden why he had not yet formally announced his plans to run in 2024, as former President Donald Trump had shared his re-election plans at this point in his presidency.
Biden gave a slightly cheeky response, telling the media: “My predecessor needed to do it.”
He added: “My answer is yes, I plan to run for re-election, that’s my expectation.
I’ve never been able to travel, I’m a great respecter of fate – I’ve never been able to plan four-and-a-half, three-and-a-half years ahead for certain.”
