Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced Wednesday that they have separated after 16 years together and 4 years of marriage.

In an Instagram post somewhere between spiritual and romantic, Momoa noted that his family is “no exception” to the “transformative times” they are living in right now and detailed that even though their paths in marriage will separate, their love will “continue and evolve.”
“We set each other free to be what we are learning to become,” he said.

Momoa and Bonet met in 2005, married in 2017 and have two children together.
Bonet had previously been married to musician Lenny Kravitz and with him she had a daughter, also actress Zoë Kravitz.
