Inmate beats two pedophiles to death in jail
Jonathan Watson, a 41-year-old inmate of a California prison, in the United States, publicly confessed in a letter that he murdered two pedophiles on January 16.
The man had been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2009 for a murder, but earlier this year he was transferred for good behavior to Corcoran State Prison, where he had to share a cell with two sex offenders.
They were David Bobb, 48, and Graham De Luis-Conti, 62, who were serving life sentences for aggravated sexual assault of children under 14. Watson said he beat them to death because he was angry about sharing a cell with them.
In the letter published exclusively by “The Mercury News,” he admitted that he killed both of them using another inmate’s cane. In the text, he said that upon returning to his cell, he saw that Bobb was watching a children’s channel and thought, “Is he really going to watch this in front of all of us?”
As he was on his way to turn himself in for this crime, he encountered his second victim, Conti, a child trafficker, and executed him with the same baton.
“I’m in a unique position where I have access to these types of people and very little to lose,” he said. He added: “These individuals are any parent’s worst nightmare.”
He also said he would plead guilty in court and would not rule out doing the same thing again if he was put in the same cell with someone like that again.
