In Coverciano, Italy, an 87-year-old woman called the police to ask for help: “I’m alone I’m hungry and cold”. The pensioner explained that her caregiver had not shown up and that she had no way to cook dinner for herself.
The Italian officers went to her house and cooked her ravioli with sauce.
“I’m alone, I’m hungry”: a pensioner asked for help and two police officers cooked her dinner
Those in charge of telling the story were the same officers who went to the woman’s home, and they shared it on the security force’s Instagram account, under the slogan: “For us this is also being present.” The police officers said that Elder contacted 113 around 8:30 p.m.
and explained what was happening to her very clearly.
The elderly woman told them that she has been suffering for a long time from several pains that make her mobility difficult: she is in a wheelchair and has one arm completely immobilized; that is why it was impossible for her to prepare her dinner.
In this regard, she said that when her caregiver told her that she could not attend, at first she thought that she could manage on her own for a day, but then it was impossible.

She also told them that her son was far away, in another city, and that she had no one to help her cook. The police went to Elder’s house and they said that when they arrived, the neighbors opened the door because no one answered the doorbell.
They then managed to enter the house and found the woman waiting for them in her bedroom.
Antonio and Giuseppe, the two officers who intervened, prepared her a plate of ravioli with sauce and sat down to have dinner with her.
The lady thanked them infinitely for their help, because beyond their duties as security agents, they showed a great gesture of humanity.
