A girl is fights for her life after being stabbed tonight in Liverpool city center. It is believed that one of the children assaulted the victim and then they all escaped.
Girl fights for her life after being stabbed in argument with group of children
Merseyside Police attended the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing at around 8.39pm tonight near the busy shopping street.
Police say the victim is believed to have been with friends and there was a “verbal argument” with a group of children, LiverpoolECHO reports.
One of the children is believed to have assaulted the victim. The group of children fled, according to authorities.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he is being treated and his condition is described as critical.
Her family has been informed and is with her at the hospital. The girl’s age is unknown at this time.
A wide cordon is being maintained between the TK Maxx and the Primark on Church Street and the surrounding area as forensic investigators comb the area.
Witnesses say there are at least five police vehicles at the scene.
Footage from the scene shows officers looking on as police cordon off the large area from the public.
