Girl, 11, sexually assaulted by man who followed her from school and dragged her to a park
The Metropolitan Police have released an image of a man they would like to identify following the incident.
The girl was left alone with her attacker, aged in his 30s or 40s, while waiting at a bus stop on Sussex Ring in North Finchley.
He tried to ask her about bus routes before trying to persuade her to go to a park at around 4pm. When she refused, he grabbed her by the wrists and began pulling her towards the park, telling her he had a knife. He then led her toward a canal and stole her phone from behind a tree. He grabbed her by the wrist and kissed her before leaving the area.
The man is described as having pale white skin, brown eyes and messy shoulder-length hair. He was wearing blue jeans and black sneakers.
Anyone who can name the man pictured or has other information is urged to come forward.
