Images have been circulating on social media of a giant white shark that apparently choked while attempting to devour a sea turtle.
While shark attacks are actually quite rare, that doesn’t stop some people from getting scared when they enter the ocean. And if you’re one of those people, you probably better look away now because what we’re about to show you will give you nightmares.
These shocking images show the moment fishermen in Japanese waters picked up this giant white shark after it choked on a sea turtle.
The images were posted on April 19 on the Facebook account of a resident of the Japanese city of Osaka. According to the description accompanying the photographs, the 2-ton shark was found dead entangled in fishing nets.
The netizen also commented that, the day before the discovery, some sailors had seen the shark struggling to get rid of the sea turtle from its jaws.
Fisherman Greg Vella has recounted how he encountered the beast in a Facebook post, “I was fishing for tuna ‘Ken Ken’ style when I heard on the radio that there was a great white shark swimming around with a large sea turtle in its mouth.
“People started joking about it, so I didn’t pay any more attention to it. Then, the next day, he was found dead, near the bait catchers, tangled in a net.
