In recent decades, the dog has acquired a very important role within the family bond of the Latino community, to the extent of being considered a friend, brother and even a son.
Proof of this is a TikTok video that has gone viral.
In the recordings disseminated by the account @marilynyasmineman, the story of a minor who, after playing with a street dog, is captivated by its charm and decides to take care of it.

But the story has more context, as the dog and the boy met when the minor’s family was selling food and he, to distract himself a little, made friends with the puppy, according to the first installment of the videos.
In the second TikTok, the boy’s parents tell how the boy heard the puppy crying outside their house, as he could not stand the harsh conditions he was facing. The little boy was moved to tears and offered a solution: he wanted the dog to become the new member of his family.

The outcome of this tender story was what Internet users expected. The family agreed to open the doors of their home to the puppy and the youngest not only took on the responsibility of taking care of the dog, but also of maintaining the affection that the two were beginning to have for each other.
