Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been taken to the hospital to be treated for an “infection unrelated to the Covid-19 virus.” His doctors, said Mr. Clinton is being closely monitored and is being given antibiotics.

A spokesman for the former Commander-in-Chief, Angel Urena, said he was admitted to the University of California Medical Center in Irvine.
“He is recovering, is in good spirits and is incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who are providing him with excellent care,” Mr.
Ureña said.
His doctors, Dr. Alpesh Amin and Dr. Lisa Bardack, said Mr. Clinton is being closely monitored and is being given antibiotics and intravenous fluids.
Their joint statement added: “He remains in the hospital for continued monitoring.”
After two days of treatment, his white blood cell count is dropping and he is responding well to antibiotics.”
“The medical team in California has been in constant communication with the President’s medical team in New York, including his cardiologist.
We expect him to go home soon.”
