Unraveling a Tragic Mystery

In a chilling turn of events, a Florida woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her boyfriend, Chad Mullen, who was reported missing earlier this month. The case has captured the attention of the public and raised questions about the dynamics of their tumultuous relationship.

Mullen, 53, was last seen alive on September 9, traveling with Caylen Deller, 30, to a location near Deller’s business. The investigation took a dark turn when authorities discovered Mullen’s body following a tip-off, leading to the arrests of Deller and her accomplice, Tina Marie Lee-Ellis, 56.

The Timeline of Events

Mullen’s family reported him missing on September 15 after he failed to attend his brother’s wedding in Texas. His daughter, Hollie Mullen, expressed her disbelief at the situation, stating, “At first it was just kind of unbelievable.

I was just like, ‘He’s just going to come back.’” This sentiment resonates with many families who experience the sudden disappearance of a loved one, highlighting the emotional turmoil that often accompanies such tragedies.

The investigation revealed that Mullen’s body was found off a rural road, approximately a quarter of a mile from the Putnam County line.

A mechanic stumbled upon the remains after noticing an unusual dirt pile, which led to the grim discovery. Robert Rash, the mechanic, recounted, “We found him probably no more than 20 to 25 feet off of the side of the road into the front yard of the property.” This shocking revelation has left the community in disbelief, as they grapple with the reality of the crime that unfolded in their midst.

Charges and Ongoing Investigation

Following the discovery of Mullen’s body, Lee-Ellis turned herself in and was charged with accessory to first-degree murder after the fact. Meanwhile, Deller was apprehended in Volusia County and faces charges of first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm.

The authorities are still piecing together the timeline of events and the nature of the relationship between the two women and Mullen. It remains unclear how long Deller and Lee-Ellis knew each other, adding another layer of complexity to this tragic case.

As the investigation continues, the community is left to ponder the circumstances that led to this heartbreaking incident. The case serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers that can lurk within personal relationships, urging individuals to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
