In a post on her Instagram Stories, the disco-pop star, who featured DaBaby on her remix of “Levitating” on the Billboard Hot 100top, said she couldn’t disagree more with the rapper’s statements made in Rolling Loud Miami and on her Instagram.
“I am shocked and appalled by DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognize him as the person I worked with,” she wrote.
“I know my fans know where my heart is and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community.
We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

He then went on to defend his statements in a series of Instagram Stories posted on Monday, claiming that his comments were “none of y’all’s business” unless you attended his show, before making more hurtful statements about queer people and HIV/AIDS.
“My gay fans don’t have fucking AIDS, you idiots. They don’t have AIDS,” he said in his hurtful tirade. “My gay fans take care of themselves. They’re not n — like the nasty gays. see what I’m saying? They’re not street junkies.”
Following DaBaby’s comments, Dua Lipa’s fans began calling for her to remove DaBaby from her remix of “Levitating,” with some asking her to replace the rapper’s verse with a new one by Lil Nas X or Megan Thee Stallion.
