Demi Lovato reveals she identifies as non-binary gender

She told supporters of her “pride” in making the change after “a lot of self-reflection work.”

“I feel like this allows for the fluidity I feel in my expression of sex and this allows me to feel like an authentic and true person, as I know I am and continue to discover,” she said.

The singer shared that she made the decision “after a lot of healing work and self-reflection.”

“I’m still learning and getting to know myself, and I don’t claim to be an expert or spokesperson.
Sharing this with you opens up another level of vulnerability for me,” said the artist.

“I do it for those who have not been able to share who they really are with their loved ones.

Please continue to live in your truth and know that I’m sending you lots of love.”

The singer of hits like “Sorry Not Sorry” Lovato recently shared her personal struggles with mental health and addiction through a YouTube documentary, which followed her journey before and after a near-fatal overdose in 2018.

Demi said she ended her engagement to actor Max Ehrich and could understand that she is “too much of a pussy” for such a commitment to a man for this time.

“The truth is whether there’s drama or not, I feel like I’m too much of a pussy to marry a man in this day and age,” the singer said.

“I don’t know if this takes a long time or would it be possible to change once and for all, but the truth is I love accepting myself.” continued Lovato.
