Model, lawyer and journalist Cheslie Kryst, winner of the 2019 Miss United States beauty pageant, has died at age 30 after plunging to her death from the top of a New York skyscraper.

The website ‘TMZ’ reports that the NYPD responded to an emergency call at 07:13 a.m. at the luxury Orion apartment building where Cheslie resided on 42nd Street in Manhattan.
Upon arrival medical services could only pronounce the model dead.
Police believe that Cheslie Kryst, who lived on the ninth floor of the building, committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the 60-story skyscraper.
The newspaper ‘New York Post’, the first media to report the death of Miss North Carolina and Miss USA 2019, publishes that Cheslie Kryst was last seen on a terrace on the 29th floor.

Cheslie Kryst’s last message before killing herself: ‘May this day bring you rest and peace’
Hours before she died Cheslie Kryst posted a message on her Instagram account, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
The model left a farewell note, in which she left all her belongings to her mother.
“With devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as an EXTRA anchor. It was her great light that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength.
She cared, loved, laughed and shined. Most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague, we know her impact will live on,” Cheslie Kryst’s family shared in a statement.
