The ninth film in ‘The Fast and Furious‘ Saga, better known as ‘F9‘, opens on June 25, and this time it will feature a big-name music star like Cardi B.

This is not the first time big-name musicians have appeared in movies with Vin Diesel, as Don Omar, Tego Calderon and Nicky Jam have all participated before.

In the movie the rapper will play the character of Leysa, a woman who has an important connection to Domingo Toreto’s past.

In an interview, gave her participation in the film, Cardi B stated that she believes it is very important to open spaces for reggaeton and rap singers, as they have a lot of hope from their community.

Therefore, she was very excited when she found out that Vin looked at his role for her, “My manager told me that Vin Diesel approached me and was talking to me about a role in the next ‘The Fast and the Furious’ movie, which could become a very important role,” said the singer.

She added, “And I said, ‘Oh, why not?’ I was making small movie appearances at the time, but it was ‘Fast & Furious.’ I was like, ‘Get me there! Put me on a plane right now.'”

On Leysa, her character, she commented, “I think she’s cocky and very self-assured.

There’s a difference between cocky and self-assured, but I think she’s really both. And I think she’s very competitive. She’s just that bitch.”

“It feels really good because when I saw Ludacris on ‘Fast and Furious‘ I was really happy and excited because I grew up listening to Ludacris.” mentioned Cardi B.
