Three people were killed, including a 2-year-old child, after a fiery oncoming crash early Friday morning on the westbound Westpark Tollway.

The drivers of the two separate vehicles died at the scene.
The child was airlifted to the hospital via LifeFlight and later died from his injuries, according to a tweet from the Community Volunteer Fire Department.

Fort Bend County officials say the crash occurred just before 1:15 am. Houston TranStar cameras captured flames coming from the cars.
“This is a pretty horrific accident,” said Sgt. Danny Beckworth of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
“The family shouldn’t have to go through this.”
According to investigators at the scene, one car caught fire and flames spread to the second.
A white Audi SUV driving westbound was struck head-on by a black Hyundai sedan traveling the wrong way on the toll road, officials said.
The driver of the Hyundai was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes.
