She has been with Bloomfield, 34, since 2014.
Hill told Insider that she had always dreamed of walking down the aisle on her wedding day.
“I want to stress that there’s nothing wrong with sitting in your chair, but growing up, I always pictured myself walking down the aisle”, Hill said.
“And I just wanted to feel that, not that my disability took anything away from me, but I just wanted to feel that heart-to-heart and be face-to-face with him,” she added.
She used leg braces and a walker to make her dream come true. Her custom-made Galia Lahav wedding dress had a detachable skirt that made it easy to transition from standing to sitting.
Hill said her partner’s jaw dropped when she saw her walk.
The bride-to-be arranged the whole surprise and arranged for Bloomfield, 34, to turn her back to the aisle before entering the ceremony.
He turned to see his bride-to-be walking with her father.
“As soon as I saw Jay, his jaw dropped, he was in shock that she walked because he had no idea,” Hill said.
Their wedding photographer, took a TikTok that captured Bloomfield’s reaction.
“I felt like that whole time our souls were locked into each other,” Hill said. “I didn’t see anyone else around me. I only saw him.”
