During her performance at the Austin City Limits festival this weekend in Texas, Billie Eilish revealed to the audience that she had considered canceling her appearance after the state passed its controversial abortion bill.

In September, the state of Texas enacted a law that allows citizens to sue anyone involved in any way in an abortion any time after six weeks, often before women know they are pregnant.
No exceptions are made for incest or rape, and the state even offers a $10,000 monetary reward in potential civil suits against anyone offering abortion help.
On Saturday, Oct. 2, Eilish, 19, told the audience, “When they made that damn law, I almost didn’t want to do the show, so I wanted to punish this damn place for allowing it to happen here.”
“But then I remembered that you guys are the fucking victims, and you deserve everything in the world.
And we need to tell them to shut the f*** up,” he boldly declared, before directing the audience to raise their middle finger in an act of protest.
She encouraged fans to join her and shouted, “My body, my fucking choice!”.
