A brothel in Austria is handing out free entry vouchers to anyone over the age of 18 who agrees to be vaccinated against the covid-19 virus. We have already seen sweepstakes in the U.S. of all kinds and the European country will be no exception.
Brothel offers free entry vouchers to encourage men to get covid vaccination
The WHO is concerned about the increase in the number of infections in Europe and is talking about the possibility of half a million more deaths. And anti-vaccination in many countries, especially in Eastern Europe, is one of the main reasons.
And in the face of great evils, remedies can provoke suspicions.
Austria has gone a step further. The Vienna brothel “Funpalast”, which describes itself as a “saunaclub of sex stars” on its website, gives out vouchers worth US$ 46.36 to anyone over the age of 18 who agrees to be vaccinated at its clinic.
Rule 2G: vaccination for entry to hospitality and leisure facilities
The offer takes place every Monday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and comes after the Austrian government banned unvaccinated customers from certain public places, such as restaurants, hotels and cafes, as of Monday.
The so-called “2G rule” was introduced in response to an increase in covid-19 cases, and will serve as an “incentive for people to go and get vaccinated,” said the head of the Austrian government, Alexander Schallenberg. “People come here to have fun, and so we help our government a little bit to get people vaccinated,” said Funpalast owner Christoph Lielacher, who has lost about 40% of customers to covid.
Women are offered a fitness voucher
While male customers have free access to the brothel, women are not allowed in, so they are offered a voucher for the nearby fitness club, “so everyone can come,” Lielacher added.
The vouchers do not include sex with the prostitutes working there: “You can also have sex, but you have to pay for sex.” According to data from Johns Hopkins University, 63.77% of the Austrian population is vaccinated against covid-19 so far.
