The Federal Aviation Administration has reported “a troubling increase” in unruly behavior on planes. There have been nearly 4,500 reports of unruly passengers since the beginning of the year.
In a normal year, the transportation agency sees between 100 and 150 formal cases of passenger misbehavior.
Police said all other passengers were able to disembark without any problems and that the incident did not cause delays.
