Adam Sandler’s dog was his best man and ring bearer for the couple. But sadly he’s not with him to relive such an emotional memory.
Adam Sandler’s dog was his best man at his wedding
Sandler, 36, married actress Jackie Titone, 28, and their little pup Meatball accompanied them, as the best man and ring bearer for the couple.
But their relationship, in case you haven’t guessed, goes beyond the usual dog-owner set-up.
According to reports, Meatball’s father played the talking puppy Mr. Beefy in Sandler’s 2000 comedy Little Nicky.
Unfortunately, just a year after the wedding, the puppy, Meatball, passed away.
In a report at the time, magazines said Sandler had held a memorial service at his Malibu home for more than 100 people and serving a cake featuring Meatball’s face.
Guests at the service also received T-shirts with the dog’s image on them.
The two buddies were known to enjoy a game of one thing from time to time, and although the actor is no longer able to play with his pal, he is still a big fan of basketball.
He was recently spotted playing basketball in New York State, having rocked the court in his oversized polo shirt and baggy shorts.
Sandler is known to be a big basketball lover, and has been seen playing ball much more frequently since the Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed a bit.
