Adam Sandler gets rejected by a restaurant employee
Adam Sandler shared his thoughts about a viral video showing him getting fired from an IHOP [formerly International House of Pancake] after a 17-year-old server told him there was a 30-minute wait and didn’t recognize him.
Although Sandler didn’t get with his food, Sandler obviously has no hard feelings about the incident and picked up Twitter to offer a funny reaction to the whole situation.
He wrote in his tweet, “For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat offer doesn’t apply to smoothies.”
What a guy, he clearly took it all in stride, and even found time to praise both the restaurant’s food and the attitude of the waitress who told him about the wait time.
To be fair, Adam Sandler may not be the kind of guy who would want to use his celebrity status to get into a busy IHOP anyway.
He later shared another video in which he explained why he hadn’t recognized him, claiming that his facial hair and mask made it harder to tell who he was.
“It’s because he had a big beard, and they’ve never seen Adam Sandler with a beard.”
Several people commented on the video, with one writing, “Of course you didn’t notice him, but still.”
Another added: “I agree with him, sometimes you don’t want to wait for a table.”
While a third simply commented, “I mean, I wouldn’t wait that long at IHOP either.”
I think Adam Sandler is very down to earth and he’s a gentleman and a scholar for acting the way he did. He did not allow his status as an actor to push his way through and make himself known, that’s a true gentleman. I’ve always liked him as an actor and now I like him even more decent human being. 💕
