The mother named @ Daawmers86 on Tiktok, posted photos of the heartbreaking scene, the unopened packages of cakes, favors and candles on a table in the park.

She explained in a voiceover tone in the clip that she had invited more than 20 people to the outdoor gathering, which was allowed by local Covid rules.

“Literally not one person showed up for her birthday. Out of 22 invitations no one attended, I know it’s pandemic, but it’s a park, and we’ve reopened in my province.”

“I’m sorry, the video is shaky, it makes me so angry for this poor man who deserves all the best, he is an incredible kid.”

In the distance a child, probably JJ, can be seen alone in the park facilities.

The clip received a huge support getting up to more than two million views, and 330,000 likes in a single day.

Some Tiktokers responded by sharing their own similar experiences and asking for the family’s address and to send some toys to JJ.

Dawners said through tears that both she and her son “really appreciated” the offers “but he doesn’t need toys.”

“He has toys. He just wanted to spend time with his friends.”

One person commented on the video, “That happened at my son’s 8th birthday party. I lied to him and told him I shouldn’t have put stamps on the invitations.”

Dawners said she contacted family friends and other parents whose children she used to babysit, explaining the situation and asking, “Can you go to the park real quick?”

And while it was understandably too late for some people, she said “two families showed up,” and one mother even brought a homemade gift for JJ.
