A man receives ten injections of Covid-19 vaccine in one day using different names
New Zealand health authorities have opened an investigation after a man was vaccinated against Covid-19 up to 10 times in the same day, local media report.
New Zealand Health Minister Astrid Koornneef said they are “taking it seriously”, although the location of the incident has not been disclosed.
The man, who is alleged to have attended several vaccination centers, was reportedly paid for each jab he received, the news portal Stuff reports.
“Having an inaccurate vaccination status not only puts you at risk, but also puts your friends, whanau (family) and community, and the health care teams treating you now in the future,” the minister added.
She also warned that “if anyone knows someone who has been vaccinated more doses than recommended, they need to seek health counseling.”
According to Gizmodo, although there is no data on the possible effects of having received so many shots in one day, it is believed that they do not go beyond side effects such as fever or headache.
